UCLA Youth Day

The UCLA Red Cross Club is hosting there 2nd annual Red Cross Youth day to show high schoolers the UCLA campus, how the Red Cross Club functions on a collegiate level, and hosts a lot of fun games and activities. 

Youth First Aid Support Team (YFAST)

You'll be trained over a span of two days in a basic/semi-advanced CPR/First Aid/AED/Biological Pathogens course to serve as emergency medical responders during major events such as 5k Runs and the Rose Parade. You'll also get hands-on experience with emergency radio/communications systems!

Home Fire Prepardness Campaign

Install and record fire alarms in homes within cities around the Los Angeles area!

Safe Kids

Teach children about basic CPR and First Aid!

Also teach about reponse to natural disasters!

Blood Drives

Donate blood to the Red Cross!

You can save up to 3 lives with every donation so please come out to donate blood!

Veterans History Project

Interview veterans from various backgrounds and wars!

All interviews are sent to the Library of Congress in order to preserve.

 

Global Youth Service Day (GYSD)

A day where Youth Volunteers participate in 5 different service projects all to make a difference! They are inspired by renowned speakers from all across the country and get to see the meaningful impact the Red Cross makes around the community.

 

 

International Humanitarian Law Action Campaign (IHLAC)

National student run campaign in which youth volunteers form groups that promote awareness regarding International Humanitarian Law. National Headquarters recognize the top five campaigns!

 

Disaster Puppet Shows

Perform a Sesame Street themed puppet show for children!

This will teach how to respond to disasters that may occur.

Holiday Mail

Write holiday mail to heroes who have courageously served our country in the military!
